A Madina Trotro mate and a passenger were left to test their strength as they squared it off in a fistfight over the increase in transport fares.

Recently, an increase in transport fares was announced and that didn’t sit well with commuters who couldn’t keep up with the constant increase in transport fares.

This has often resulted in disagreement between trotro mates and passengers but this disagreement in a Madina-Lapaz trotro ended in a serious fight between the mate and a passenger.

A video showing the moment the two persons fought near the road from N1 to Lapaz has surfaced on the internet.

Apparently, the mate was demanding 11 cedis as the lorry fare from Madina to Lapaz but the passenger insisted the normal fare is 7 cedis, 50 pesewas.

The heated argument resulted in the two testing their physical strength when they were about to reach Lapaz.

The Trotro driver and the other passengers left them to fight as they watch and capture the moment.
